Philadelphia 76ers guard Danny Green recently dropped a bombshell, claiming that his former teammates Seth Curry and Andre Drummond were angry at Ben Simmons for the way he was handling his standoff with the team. Curiously, all three of them got shipped to the Brooklyn Nets, where things could get more awkward.

Curry, however, wanted to set the record straight ahead of their game against the Boston Celtics on Thursday. In a report by ESPN's Nick Friedell, the Nets shooter said while he and Drummond were not too chummy with Simmons, he refuted Green's comment that the relationship “wasn't cordial.”

“The relationship was fine. He (Simmons) wasn't around. So I don't know what (Green) meant by that. ‘Wasn't cordial,' I don't know what that means, but the relationship was fine. He just wasn't around so we didn't see him a lot or we didn't talk a lot. But as far as now, he's on my (team). I went to battle with him last year, we did a lot of good stuff and I'm going to go to war with who I'm going to go to war with and who's on my team, so I'm looking forward to getting back out there with him and doing good stuff.”

Just when Curry thought he'd found a home with the Sixers, helping them regain a winning tradition, he got shipped to the Nets as part of the blockbuster James Harden trade.

But he's always been a consummate professional, and as Curry said, he's just focusing on helping Simmons and the Nets get back on track.
