Brooklyn Nets guard Spencer Dinwiddie posted a video of himself putting in some work in the gym. After a recent Steve Nash comment that a return is unlikely, could this post mean that the guard is looking to overcome those odds?

To recall, Dinwiddie tore his ACL in December. It dampened the hopes of Nets fans who wanted to see the guard be part of a potential title run. Since even before the Nets became a powerhouse squad, Dindiwiddie was already there and even served as their best player at times. Players who suffer an ACL tear usually take a season off. But Dinwiddie's latest post reveals that he's at least capable enough of putting in work on the practice floor.

Just a day before Dinwiddie uploaded the clip, Nash was skeptical on any chances of his comeback. The Nets have just a handful of games left before the playoffs, which could be the only chance the guard has to get acclimated to the revamped roster.

However, Dinwiddie not playing in the final regular-season games doesn't necessarily mean that he won't suit up come playoff time. If so, then the guard has a lot of catching up to do. Nash, for his part, needs to figure out how Dinwiddie can co-exist with the rest of the squad in the event of a return.

Dinwiddie is one heck of a good player. But it would be risky on Nash's part to modify his playbook during the playoffs. A little tweak could quickly translate into a loss. And Dinwiddie, too, could suffer another setback if not properly monitored.
