With Kevin Durant back on the floor in their preseason game against the Washington Wizards, the Brooklyn Nets superstar forward encountered his former teammate Russell Westbrook.

After the game, Durant could be seen sharing a moment with Russ, who was acquired by the Wizards in the offseason in a trade with the Houston Rockets for John Wall.

It has been well documented that these two have had their differences both as teammates and adversaries in the Western Conference, though the tandem of Durant and Westbrook seemed to be quite cordial on Sunday evening in Brooklyn.

Obviously, their rivalry will continue throughout 2020-21 as the Nets and Wizards will matchup against one another in the Eastern Conference.

Kevin Durant will be playing for the Nets for the first time after missing extensive time due to injury in 2019-20. On the other hand, Russell Westbrook was only recently traded to the Wizards and so was not in uniform for Washington in the game.

Although Westbrook's arrival in Washington will certainly make things much more interesting for the Wizards, it remains to be seen as to how good the franchise can be this time around. Meanwhile, Durant and the Nets are expected to compete for a title, especially with a lineup that also boasts Kyrie Irving, Spencer Dinwiddie and Caris LeVert.
