Kevin Durant isn't expected to play for the Brooklyn Nets this season. However, Nets fans will be thrilled with the latest development involving their star. He's been seen in the streets in New York walking like normal.

TMZ Sports caught the forward coming out of a building recently, and the camera that caught him walk saw the former No 35 not limping on his way to the car.

It's been more than three months since he tore his Achilles during the 2019 NBA Finals, so it's nice to see him walking as if the unfortunate injury didn't happen at all. However, the prognosis probably didn't change. He won't be able to play until the 2020-21 season or there's significant progress in his recovery.

In the meantime, the Nets whet the team's appetite by showing them a preview of Durant in a Nets jersey.

It's interesting that he won't be wearing 35 when he's going to play for the Nets this season. Everyone will surely find it strange to see Durant not wearing a Warriors jersey at this point of his career. It will surely take some time to sink in before fans can get used to the sight.

However, it's not like he's throwing away the three years he spent at the Bay. He said in an NBC Sports piece that his first title with the Dubs is a defining moment of his career.

“It’s very rare in our lives when we envision and picture something and it comes together the perfect way you envision it,” Durant said to WSJ Magazine's J.R. Moehringer. “[Winning a title] was the only time in my life that happened, and that summer was the most exhilarating time. Every day I woke up I just felt so good about myself, so good about life … That was a defining moment in my life—not just my basketball life.”

We won't be seeing much of Durant once the regular season starts, but that's just what the Nets want. They want their star in full health, not rushing his recovery.
