Spencer Dinwiddie of the Brooklyn Nets just casually drained a fadeaway three-pointer from the logo to beat the buzzer.

With the shot clock about to expire, the Nets wisely put the ball in the hands of Dinwiddie, who is having the best season of his career. Dinwiddie, for his part, did not fail his teammates.

The 25-year-old is averaging 16.9 points per game on 45.5 percent shooting from the field and 36.4 percent from downtown, along with five assists and 2.5 rebounds. Though he comes off the bench, he's one of his team's leading scorers and best players.

Nets head coach Kenny Atkinson believes that he's been on a slump as of late. But Dinwiddie downplayed his comments, noting that opposing teams have been paying him more attention as of late. Instead of being negatively affected, he took his head coach's comments as a compliment. Per SB Nation, Dinwiddie said:

“That seems like a compliment to me,” Dinwiddie told beat writers in Toronto. “My job is to be in the paint and kick out or shoot it. That’s what I’m trying to do. That’s what Coach wants me to do, so when I have the ball, that’s what I try to do.”

Slump or not, his fadeaway three-point shot has to be a confident booster. It just might be what he needed to get his rhythm back.
