New World, an upcoming open-world MMORPG will be hitting its release date this week. This finally comes after some delay.

New World Release Date: September 28, 2021

The official website for New World describes it as the following:

“Explore a thrilling, open-world MMO filled with danger and opportunity where you’ll forge a new destiny for yourself as an adventurer shipwrecked on the supernatural island of Aeternum. Endless opportunities to fight, forage, and forge await you among the island’s wilderness and ruins. Channel supernatural forces or wield deadly weapons in a classless, real-time combat system, and fight alone, with a small team, or in massed armies for PvE and PvP battles—the choices are all yours.

The game also features three different factions, and the game’s guild system (here called companies) will be dependent on these companies, alongside the player’s PVP options. The three factions are The Marauders, The Syndicate, and The Covenant. All three have their own different traits and ambitions for the world of Aeternum. These factions will compete for control of towns and territories, which will confer benefits to their players. Additionally, New World will also have an extensive crafting system, further supplemented by a player-run economy.

New World also implements an action-combat system offering melee weapons, ranged artillery, and supernatural powers. Players also have control over five core attributes: Strength, Dexterity, Constitution, Intelligence, and Focus. Weapons, as well, have extensive mastery trees that allow for player customization and player choice. Once again, the New World release date is September 28, 2021.
