2019 was another unimpressive season for the New York Jets. They finished 7-9 and in third place in the AFC East. Despite the mediocre record, head coach Adam Gase showed that he is a disaster, and the status of Le'Veon Bell is unknown for 2020. Sam Darnold missed time with mono and was inconsistent when he did play.

There is plenty to figure out for the Jets, but first, they must decide what to do with the No. 11 pick in the 2020 NFL Draft. This is a team with plenty of needs, and they have a chance to add a solid player. Here are three options for the Jets in the first round.

3. Kristian Fulton, CB, LSU

The Trumaine Johnson experiment did not work in New York. The Jets have one of the best group of safeties in the league led by All-Pro Jamal Adams. They could use some help at cornerback to finish their secondary. Why not go for a player coming off a national championship win?

Kristian Fulton is the second-best cornerback in this draft behind Ohio State's Jeff Okudah, who is expected to go in the top-five. Fulton is a strong cover corner with the size to compete at the NFL level. This is an intriguing option for the Jets if they decide to go the defensive route.

2. OT Tristan Wirfs – Iowa

The Jets have a young quarterback and a bad offensive line. That is not a recipe for success. Iowa has a history of producing stud offensive lineman, and Tristan Wirfs could be next in line. Georgia's Andrew Thomas is not going to make it to No. 11, so Wirfs will be the top lineman available.

With rumors of Trent Williams returning to Washington circulating, the market for left tackles will be slim. This is an area that the Jets need to improve upon.

1. WR Jerry Jeudy – Alabama

The Jets have not had a dynamic receiving core since Brandon Marshall and Eric Decker in 2015. Robby Anderson is a deep ball threat but is not a No. 1 option; he's also set to be a free agent. Jamison Crowder was a nice addition, but he is a slot receiver. The Jets are and have been, in desperate need of a No. 1 receiver.

This is where Jerry Jeudy comes into play. Jeudy was previously expected to go in the top five, but the emergence of Oklahoma's CeeDee Lamb has made him fall a bit. This could work in the Jets' favor. Jeudy is the best route runner in the draft and was one of the fastest receivers in the country. He is a difference-maker and would make the Jets' offense better immediately.
