We're heading toward the 2018 NFL Draft home stretch which means top 10 hopefuls are polishing off schedules. Meetings, meetings and more meetings.

Baker Mayfield is meeting with four teams this very week. As Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reported, it started with the Buffalo Bills on Monday and will continue with the New York Jets, Miami Dolphins and Cleveland Browns.

Once concluded, it'll be four visits (teams) in six days for the busy 2017 Heisman Trophy recipient.

As previously mentioned, Buffalo, who holds the 12th overall pick and is rumored as targeting the No. 2 overall pick in a trade with the New York Giants, was Monday. On Thursday, it's Dolphins head coach Adam Gase who's driving the bus.

The team holding the No. 1 overall pick will take over the Mayfield machine on Friday while the Jets, who suddenly control so much in the No. 3 slot, will take a look the fiery leader on Saturday.

Mayfield, 22, is a statistical collegiate hype machine. His best case as a stud at the top level comes when mentioning his absurd collegiate stats. Piling up 12,292 yards and 119 touchdowns to just 21 interceptions in 40 career games at Oklahoma doesn't come easy. Forget that it's the Big 12, the place offense flows much richer than anywhere else in the country. Those statistics are mind-boggling to any football fanatic.

The issue comes when discussing so many that have plagued his prototype in recent history. Spread offense quarterbacks rarely (if ever) succeed at the NFL level. Usually, it's the pro-style man who, even though he may not put up crazy numbers, is easier translated to NFL schemes and environments.

Mayfield is among four potential top 10 quarterbacks in next month's draft (Josh Allen, Sam Darnold, Josh Rosen). Whether he's selected in the top 10 or not remains to be seen. Unless something drastic goes down, he's a surefire first-round selection.
