It is more than likely that former LSU Tigers cornerback Greedy Williams comes off the board early on in the first round of the upcoming 2019 NFL Draft. As a result, it is pretty clear that Williams thinks highly of himself and even went as far as to declare that he is the best cornerback in this year's draft class.

“What? I played two years at LSU, eight picks,” Williams said, via NOLA.com. “I don’t think no cornerbacks I’m competing with are highly up there with me.”

Taking things a step further, Williams noted that he outperformed the competition in only two years as opposed to those who played collegiately for four seasons.

“I played two years,” he added. “The other guy played four years, so you do the math on who’s the best, the ball hawk or the guy who played four years and only had seven picks.”

That “other guy” that Williams is referring to quite clearly seemed to be former Georgia Bulldogs cornerback DeAndre Baker, a player who notably won the Jim Thorpe Award over Williams for the best defensive back in the country. Baker had, you guessed it, seven interceptions over the course of his four seasons at Georgia. It is also worth noting that when Baker won the Jim Thorpe Award in Atlanta back in December, Williams was shown staring forward with a clearly solemn and frustrated look on his face.

One thing is for certain, both Baker and Williams will be joining the NFL ranks come next month.
