Washington Football Team Week 12 Predictions

Washington Football Team, Panthers, Terry McLaurin, Antonio Gibson, Taylor Heinicke

4. Taylor Heinicke has another great performance

Taylor Heinicke is coming off one of the best performances of his career. Heinicke threw three touchdowns against the Carolina Panthers last week with zero interceptions.

This efficient offensive performance helped Washington pick up another win. If Heinicke can play at a solid level with an elite defense behind him, they can make it to the playoffs. The Seahawks defense has not been elite, and he should be able to have success with McLaurin at receiver.

3. Terry McLaurin torches Seattle's secondary

Terry McLaurin has emerged as one of the best young receivers in the NFL. He had a phenomenal game against the Panthers last season as he had five receptions for 103 yards and a touchdown.

The Seahawks do not have an elite cornerback to rely on to lock up opposing top receivers. McLaurin has been dominant on the season as he has 54 receptions for 735 yards and five touchdowns.

With Heinicke gaining confidence, he should have another great outing at receiver.

2. Washington sacks Wilson multiple times

One of the biggest strengths for Washington is their defensive line. While Chase Young suffered a season-ending injury, they still possess an elite unit. Last week, they had one sack, which is not up to their usual production.

Seattle does not have a tremendous offensive line, and Washington's defensive line should wreak havoc for Wilson. Wilson is great at evading pressure, but the defensive line is too strong for the Seahawks' offensive line.

1. Washington wins their third straight game

Washington is finding their groove and making a push for the playoffs. They are firing on all cylinders as the offense is improving behind their top-tier defense. Heinicke has stepped up his game and is becoming a reliable quarterback. While he doesn't bring the stardom of a quarterback like Wilson, he has the competitive edge to keep his team in the game.

Wilson and the Seahawks have struggled to get going this season as they sit at 3-7. This victory could spark the WFT to a postseason push behind multiple solid wins in a row. If the defense can keep playing at a high level and the offense continues to improve, it will be hard for any team to beat them.

Although Washington has a good matchup, they will still have a tough road to the playoffs. The NFC has so many teams that are fighting for the Wild Card spots. It's an even race, and it will come down to whatever team gets hot at the right time.

If the Washington Football Team picks up a win against the Seahawks, they will be in a great position to make the postseason.
