Johnny Manziel was at one point viewed as a potential savior for the Cleveland Browns. After being taken with the No. 22 overall pick in the 2014 NFL Draft, there was a ton of hype surrounding him. Unfortunately, due to immaturity and off-the-field issues, Manziel's NFL career flamed out very quickly.

Now, Manziel is looking for another opportunity to get back into football. He may very well find it in the XFL that will begin next year.

According to a report from John McClain of the Houston Chronicle, Manziel has a lot of interest in playing for the Houston franchise in the XFL. It would be somewhat of a homecoming for him.

Manziel finished his NFL career with just 1,675 passing yards, seven touchdowns, and seven interceptions. He completed just 57.0 percent of his pass attempts. In addition to those numbers, Manziel did pick up 259 yards and a touchdown on the ground.

The XFL could be an excellent avenue for Manziel to get back on the field. They will be searching for talent, but also ticket sales. Manziel may not be the superstar that he once was, but he would still sell tickets, especially in Houston.

It is going to be interesting to see if Manziel can get his football career off the ground again. He seems to have fixed some of the immaturity issues that he once had, although there are still some question marks surrounding him. Houston could give him an excellent opportunity to revitalize himself.

Expect to hear more about players who could be joining the XFL in the coming weeks and months and don't be shocked if Johnny Manziel ends up getting a chance with one of the two Texas franchises.
