It's been a messy situation for the Washington Commanders for quite some time. First, they refused to change the team name for years, then the franchise has been put under scrutiny over the entire Dan Snyder sexual assault allegations. After the team decided to investigate themselves, the NFL finally stepped in sort everything out. Rodger Goodell speaks on the situation at hand.

According to Dov Kleiman, Goodell spoke in front of the media in Los Angeles about the current scenario going on with Snyder. The NFL commissioner is correct, as it doesn't make sense for the Commanders to investigate themselves. For that reason, a third party is likely to get involved.

Not many are happy with the Commanders, mainly because of Dan Snyder's incompetence. Regardless, this isn't the first time the NFL has conducted an investigation on Washington. The first run was how the Jon Gruden emails came to light, which ultimately lead to the Las Vegas Raiders firing him. Maybe in this second investigation, Rodger Goodell will actually find something.

For now, nothing has technically been proven yet, however, there is a lot of smoke coming out of Washington. So much so, it's hard to believe there isn't a fire. There have been a ton of problems swirling around this franchise and most of it can be put on Dan Snyder's shoulders. We'll see how the NFL's investigation plays out, as this will take some time.

It seems there is a lot going on throughout the league right now. Between Dan Snyder and the Commanders, to Bran Flores' lawsuit against the NFL and several teams, Rodger Goodell has his hands full with legal issues. It'll be interesting to see how it all plays out, but hopefully, it leads to a better future.
