Despite all of the controversy on Sunday (primarily from New Orleans), the matchup in Super Bowl 53 is set between the New England Patriots and the Los Angeles Rams. BetOnline.ag has already released odds on who will take home the Super Bowl MVP award, with Tom Brady and Jared Goff leading the way.

Tom Brady +125
Jared Goff +225
Sony Michel +1400
Todd Gurley +1600
C.J. Anderson +1600
Aaron Donald +2000

This shouldn't come as much of a surprise. Brady, whose five Lombardi Trophies are the most ever won by a quarterback, has taken home the Super Bowl MVP award a record four times. Overall, quarterbacks have earned Super Bowl MVP honors in seven of the last nine Super Bowls, as well as nine of the last 12.

Brady and Goff were both instrumental in guiding their teams to the big game in Atlanta, but they've only combined for three touchdown passes in the postseason. That's the lowest combined total by the two Super Bowl signal-callers since 1971.

That stat doesn't do justice to how well they've both played in the playoffs, especially this past Sunday. Goff made a number of big throws in important spots to keep the Rams close against the New Orleans Saints, especially on the game-tying drive at the end of regulation.

Brady's outing against the Kansas City Chiefs was even more impressive. He was relentless in driving the Patriots down the field in the fourth quarter and overtime, converting a number of third-and-long situations to keep the pressure on Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs' stacked offense before New England ultimately scored the game-winning touchdown.

With 12 days still to go until the Rams and Patriots square off in Super Bowl 53, these odds will likely experience some movement, but expect Brady and Goff to remain at the top.

As it stands, New England is a 2.5-point favorite against Los Angeles in Super Bowl 53, according to BetOnline.ag. To place a bet on the game or any others, click here and use promo code CLUTCH50 for a 50% Welcome Bonus when you signup with BetOnline.ag!
