The Chicago Bears offense figures to be much different compared to last year. Apart from acquiring some new playmakers in Allen Robinson, Taylor Gabriel, and Trey Burton, they also have new head coach Matt Nagy bringing in a new system.

Quarterback Mitchell Trubisky will no doubt be an important part of that system, and he sounds pretty excited about it. He feels that Nagy’s new offense is a much better fit for his talents compared to the offense he ran during his rookie year.

“It’s just dynamic, it’s creative, and it’s also balanced,” Trubisky said on NFL Network. “And that’s what you want. We’re going to get the ball out quick. We’re going to deceive the defenses, and we’re going to spread the field, and we’re going to get it all over to our playmakers. We’re going to be balanced. We’re going to play fast. We’re going to be dynamic. And we’re going to stretch the field every which way. I just feel like this offense is going to utilize my talents more and the players we have around me.”

It shouldn’t be too surprising that Trubisky is a fan of the direction the offense is heading this coming season. For one, Nagy proved last season with the Kansas City Chiefs that he is capable of constructing a dynamic and creative offense, so Trubisky should be in good hands with him.

But more importantly, Trubisky had a lot of success in college playing in a system that emphasized quick passing and spread concepts. He proved to be very adept in terms of making those accurate short passes to his playmakers. He'll now get to play more to his strengths, and at the same time have some actual playmakers to pass to after the Bears surrounded him with more capable receivers.

The Bears have done their best to put their quarterback in a position to succeed. The onus will now be on Trubisky to fully capitalize on that offense tailored for him in his second season and justify just why the Bears picked him No. 2 overall last year.
