What happens when a golden-armed prospect (like Josh Allen) meets a golden-armed all-time great who capped off a quarterback career more splendid than anybody could even conjure up in one's mind (like John Elway)?

Giddiness ensues. That's what happens.

The right arm of Wyoming's Allen has been described as a once-in-a-generation tool. What the kid does not only from the pocket but while on the run, leaves the most seasoned football fan speechless at times. The kid could casually fling a pigskin from his own 40-yard-line allowing his target to use every bit of that 36-inch vertical jump in the back of the end zone.

Talent respects talent. That's what happened on Tuesday when the young golden armed prospect met one of the greatest to ever lace them up in Elway.

After speaking with the Denver Broncos executive vice president and general manager—the very same man who captured five AFC championships and two Super Bowls during his illustrious 16-year NFL career—Allen had nothing but giddiness smeared all over his fresh face, via Nicki Jhavbala of The Denver Post.

“It’s fun to look over there and see a guy with as a great stature as John Elway,” Allen said Monday at the Senior Bowl’s introductory news conference. “It’s really cool that he went to one of my games. It speaks a lot about what the Denver Broncos are trying to do this offseason. I actually got a chance to speak with them right now. Super good guy, super down to earth and obviously he wants to win. And he’s doing the right thing by being down here and scouting as many players as he can and ultimately he’s going to make the best decision for that franchise.”

Allen made his awestruck remarks after Tuesday's Senior Bowl practice that saw Elway and other NFL talent-evaluators gushing over the talent of so many talented prospects set to make it big in a few months.

We already knew Elway loves himself those strong-armed quarterbacks. Now we know Allen feels the same way about the man who once did an old man spin-o-rama at the 1-yard-line in the Super Bowl.

Perhaps Josh Allen and the Denver Broncos are a match made in heaven with the fifth pick in the 2018 NFL Draft.
