In 2018, then-Jacksonsville Jaguars cornerback Jalen Ramsey made it abundantly clear that he did not hold young Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen in the highest esteem.

“I think Allen is trash,” Ramsey told GQ. “I don’t care what nobody say. He’s trash. And it’s gonna show too.”

Ramsey disrespected a slew of quarterbacks in the interview, including Matt Ryan, Ben Roethlisberger, and Joe Flacco (he always thought Lamar Jackson was good).

Three years later, Allen will have a chance to make Ramsey regret those words when the Bills host the Rams on Sunday in a matchup between two of the league's remaining undefeated squads. However, Allen took the high road when asked about Ramsey's comments from 2018.

“That was so long ago in my opinion,” Allen said, via Syracuse.com. “It’s really a non-factor you know he’s been a great player in this league for a long time, he’s only gotten better and he’s a problem that we’re gonna have to deal.”

Yet, Allen has clearly kept Ramsey's comments in his thoughts. In 2019, he autographed a photo of himself playing the Jaguars with the message, “Hey Ramsey…Am I still trash?”

Buffalo beat Jacksonville, 24-21, in the only career showdown between the two players – until this Sunday. Allen threw for 160 yards and a TD and ran for 99 yards and a score in that game.

Allen's new top target, wide receiver Stefon Diggs, echoed Allen's praise for Ramsey's skills, but insisted the Bills won't let that stop them from playing aggressively.

The Bills offense should be feeling confident. Allen has thrown for 727 yards, six touchdowns, and no interceptions through the first two weeks of the season — racking up wins against the Miami Dolphins and New York Jets.

He'll likely have his toughest test of the season against Ramsey and L.A., who have taken down the Dallas Cowboys and Philadelphia Eagles so far in 2020.
