Given how his tenure with the Minnesota Vikings concluded, it was presumed that Stefon Diggs forced his way out of Minnesota. On the contrary, Diggs believes that he didn't do anything to incite a change of scenery. During a conversation with Matthew Fairburn of The Athletic, Diggs reacted to the claims that he forced his way to the Buffalo Bills.

“I never actually said anything. So when you said that, I was a little taken aback,” Diggs said, via Matthew Fairburn of TheAthletic.com. “But this new situation, I can say I’m excited. There is no right or wrong or problems to be fixed here or something to be replaced from my old situation. I have a lot of respect for the Minnesota Vikings. At the time the trade happened, you kind of have to look at it for what it is. But I never really was vocal about what I did or didn’t like.”

Last season, there appeared to be plenty of friction between the Vikings and Diggs. The big-play wideout would be fined over $200,000 due to absences from practice.

At the same time, Diggs never refuted the trade rumors in 2019, saying “there is truth in every rumor”. His frustration was believed to be due to Minnesota's offense being centered around Dalvin Cook and not the passing game.

As much as it looks like he forced Minnesota's hand, the star wide receiver wants everyone to know that he doesn't believe he did anything to instigate a trade this offseason. Nonetheless, Stefon Diggs appears to be content with his situation after being traded to the Bills.
