Look at the Buffalo Bills. With their Thanksgiving win over the Dallas Cowboys, they are 9-3 with a commanding lead in the AFC Wild Card picture. Wild Card aside, they are all of a sudden just one game behind the New England Patriots for the top spot in the AFC East. Josh Allen is looking like a franchise quarterback, so why not add another weapon in the 2020 NFL Draft?
Clemson's Tee Higgins is one of many attractive wide receiver prospects in the 2020 draft class. It is another perfect regular season for Clemson at 12-0. Higgins finished his final regular season in a Clemson uniform with 43 catches for 900 yards and 10 touchdowns. At 6-foot-4 and 215 pounds, Higgins is viewed as a receiver who is ready to make an immediate impact on a professional team.
Adding Higgins could make the Bills' offense even more legitimate than it already is.
Is Higgins to Buffalo a Perfect Match?
Article Continues BelowThe Bills knew that they were weak at receiver and they addressed the need immediately in free agency. Buffalo added Cole Beasley and John Brown in the offseason. So far, both additions have paid off. Brown leads the team with 61 catches for 882 yards and five touchdowns. Beasley has added 55 catches for 635 yards and five scores. Could you imagine if Higgins was added as their No. 2 receiver with Beasley moving to the slot?
Buffalo has a good young core. Allen is coming into his own at age 23 as a true dual-threat quarterback. Devin Singletary is a rookie drafted in the third round who has turned into a weapon. Even Dawson Knox has turned into a hidden gem for the Bills at 23 years old. Beasley, Brown, and the NFL's third leading rusher of all-time Frank Gore have provided veteran leadership to the offense. Let's not forget head coach Sean McDermott, who has this team playing with toughness and grit.
If Higgins is on the board when the Bills pick, it is a must that they go with the Clemson product to add to their offense. Higgins is a big wide receiver with great ball skills and sneaky speed. He can run any route and has the ability to beat press coverage. Whether it is a slot fade or a deep angle route, Higgins can get open at any level. Or he can make a catch on the sideline and use his shiftiness to turn a short gain into a big one.
If you watch one quarter of Clemson football, there is no doubt that you will understand the skills and potential of Higgins. His stock has risen over the last few weeks and it is only going to continue to go up as Clemson prepares for the ACC Championship Game and the CFB Playoff.
