The Cleveland Browns were ravaged by COVID-19 this week, placing a plethora of players on the COVID/Reserve list. Among the players out with the illness include Baker Mayfield, Jarvis Landry, Austin Hooper, and Jedrick Wills, among others. Head coach Kevin Stefanski also tested positive Wednesday. Tight end David Njoku had been placed on the COVID list last week, but he posted an encouraging update to Instagram which should have fans in Cleveland breathing a major sigh of relief.

Njoku's post was captioned “Missed y'all too. Good to be back let's get to work,” suggesting that the 25-year-old is nearing his return to the team. With several key offensive weapons currently on the COVID list, seeing Njoku back in action would be a huge boost for the Browns.

He figures to play a prominent role in the offense in Week 15 if the Browns enter their clash with the Raiders shorthanded. They'll be playing on a short week of rest, as Cleveland is scheduled to play on Saturday this week, making it even more difficult for the team to get its players healthy in time for kickoff.
This season, Njoku has 27 receptions for 407 yards and three touchdowns. He had his best game of the season in Week 5 against the Los Angeles Chargers when he caught seven passes on seven targets for 149 yards and a touchdown. His return could have a big impact on the team's game plan this coming week.
