Odell Beckham Jr was shockingly released by the Cleveland Browns last season and quickly latched on with the Los Angeles Rams, helping them win a Super Bowl. Now, he's a free agent while he rehabs from an ACL tear and Myles Garrett wants to see the Browns pull the trigger and reunite with the star wide receiver.
Garrett took to Instagram and posted a flurry of photos from OTAs. The caption read “Come home the fellas miss you”, to which OBJ responded, “Who you talking to slime?”
Garrett simply responded with a two-word response:
Do you think he wants the Browns to sign Beckham? Pretty clear. A lot of the drama between OBJ and Cleveland was due to his relationship with Baker Mayfield. Now they have a new QB1 in Deshaun Watson and although he could miss time due to suspension, it's likely Mayfield is still traded before the season begins.
Ultimately, the Browns cut ties with OBJ but several of his teammates recently voiced how great of a teammate the wideout really was. There was evidently a lack of chemistry with Mayfield though, catching just seven touchdowns in 29 games with the team.
Although Cleveland will surely face competition for OBJ's services once he recovers, Garrett would love to see his former teammate in the offense again. Who knows, maybe it could work out this time around.
