The Cleveland Browns drafted defensive end Alex Wright with their third round pick out of UAB. Wright was happy for a number of reasons after being selected by Cleveland. First off, his dream of becoming a professional football player in the NFL had become a reality. But secondly, Wright will get to play with one of his role models, Myles Garrett

Wright’s following comments don’t attempt to hide the fact he is starstruck by Garrett. It is similar to how a Taylor Swift fan might describe being able to go on tour with her. But hey, there is nothing wrong with being excited to meet your idols.

“It's like a dream come true. Myles Garrett is one of those rare breeds that I used to and still look up to to this day, not only as a person but on the field and how he works off the field – the stuff that he does behind the cameras. Being able to just watch him and now have the chance to play across from him is like a dream come true. It feels surreal. I have goosebumps right now.”

Myles Garrett is unquestionably one of the biggest defensive stars in the NFL. The 26-year old has an already well-established five year career in the league. He is fresh off of an elite season in 2021 that saw him finish with a career high 16 sacks and 51 total tackles.
