The Dallas Cowboys are trending in the right direction over the last couple of weeks having won their last three games that have pushed them atop of the NFC East holding the tiebreaker over the Washington Redskins.
However, there is a situation that the Cowboys must continue to monitor with star running back Ezekiel Elliott currently working through sore hips this week. Head coach Jason Garrett voiced on Monday that Elliott looked well enough to take the practice field after being held on Sunday, according to Charean Williams of Pro Football Talk.

This is a situation that the Cowboys will continue to monitor closely over the next couple of days ahead of Thursday night's matchup against the surging New Orleans Saints. Dallas is hoping to have him in the mix to lean on for the contest that could be quite pivotal to their playoff chances over the final five games of the season.
Elliott has taken his performance on the field to the next level production in each of last three weeks with more than 120 rushing yards and a touchdown. This has seemingly pushed him to a league-best 1,074 rushing yards just ahead of Los Angeles Rams star running back Todd Gurley. He has been the primary driving force offensively for the Cowboys throughout the year, especially during their current three-game win streak.
His production out of the backfield has been the staple to the offense and has been the pinpoint to everything else on that side of the ball getting on track. Elliott has a tough challenge ahead of him against the Saints, who possess the top-ranked defense against the run while allowing just 3.6 yards attempt.
