The Dallas Cowboys are re-signing kicker Kai Forbath, according to Ian Rapoport of NFL Network.
Forbath spent three games with the Cowboys in 2019, making all 10 of his field-goal attempts and converting all 10 of his extra points. He also played one game with the New England Patriots.
The 32-year-old, who played his collegiate football at UCLA, went undrafted in 2012 but eventually made his way to the Washington Redskins, where he appeared in 11 contests during his rookie campaign, going 17-of-18 on field goals and drilling 33 of his 34 extra-point tries.
Forbath went on to spend three-plus years with the Redskins, with his only full 16-game season with the club coming in 2014 when he made 24 of his 27 field goals and 31 of his 32 extra points.
After beginning 2015 in Washington, he was cut and then signed with the New Orleans Saints, where he played 10 games. Forbath had a rough year overall, connecting on just 10 of his 15 field-goal attempts.
Following his rocky 2015, Forbath went on to sign with the Minnesota Vikings, where he resided for a couple of seasons. He experienced his most success with the club in 2017, when he went 32-for-38 on field goals, including going 6-of-9 on attempts from 50 yards or longer. However, he missed five extra points.
The Santa Monica, Ca. native then landed with the Jacksonville Jaguars for one season in 2018, appearing in three contests and converting on four of his five field-goal tries.
Overall, Forbath has made 86.8 percent of his field-goal attempts throughout his NFL career.
The Cowboys went 8-8 and missed the playoffs this past season.
