Dallas Cowboys running back Ezekiel Elliott got himself into some more trouble this offseason, pushing down a security guard in Las Vegas last month that resulted in him being handcuffed.
This marks the second time Elliott has found himself in the news for the wrong reasons as a member of the Cowboys, as he ended up getting suspended for six games in 2017 as a result of domestic violence allegations.
But, now, Elliott is vowing to be smarter going forward:

I’ve got to be smarter.’ . . .He already knows that he may have done something that wasn’t right. He’s got to move forward. We all make mistakes.”
Elliott is coming off a spectacular 2018 campaign in which he racked up a league-leading 1,434 yards and six touchdowns while averaging 4.7 yards per carry. In addition, he hauled in 77 receptions for 567 yards and three scores en route to a Pro Bowl appearance.
The 23-year-old, who played his collegiate football at Ohio State, was originally selected by Dallas with the fourth overall pick of the 2016 NFL Draft.
He burst onto the scene during his rookie year, pacing the NFL with 1,631 yards on the ground and scoring 15 touchdowns. He also caught 32 passes for 363 yards and a score and earned a Pro Bowl selection and First-Team All-Pro honors.
Elliott has two years remaining on his deal and is in the process of negotiating a new contract with the Cowboys.
