The Green Bay Packers are coming off of a rough loss on the road against the Los Angeles Chargers. This week, the Packers will try to get back on track with a big win at Lambeau Field against the Carolina Panthers. It may not be an “easy” game, but the Packers should feel good about their chances.

Aaron Rodgers and the offense sputtered last week against the Chargers. They failed to score in the first half and only were able to muster up 11 points in the game. Matt LaFleur and company are going to be aggressive this week, although Carolina has plenty of playmakers on the defensive side of the football.

Looking at the Panthers, they have a lot of talent on the roster similar to the Chargers. Christian McCaffrey is one of the best running backs in football and quarterback Kyle Allen has done a solid job since taking over for Cam Newton under center. Carolina's defense is what carries them, which will need to be the case again this week.

Mike Pettine and the Packers' defense has struggled in recent weeks. After starting the season looking like one of the best defensive units in football, they have fallen apart. They have a good pass rush and will need to put pressure on Allen and contain McCaffrey in order to win this week.

All of that being said, let's dive in and take a look at four reasons the Packers will pull off a win this week.

4. The Running Game Should Be Lethal

Green Bay was unable to get Aaron Jones going last week against the Chargers, but they have a favorable matchup this week. Carolina has plenty of playmakers, but they aren't good against the run.

So far this season, the Panthers have allowed 133.4 yards per game on the ground. Those numbers don't bode well for Carolina against Jones and Jamaal Williams. LaFleur loves to pound the football on the ground and the Packers should have good success doing just that.

3. Kyle Allen Makes Mistakes

The Panthers cannot be upset with Allen making mistakes after being thrown into the action when Newton went down with injury. While he has played solid football, Allen is prone to make mistakes and throws dangerous passes quite often.

Assuming the Packers are able to put pressure on him, the secondary will have opportunities to make huge plays. Guys like Jaire Alexander, Kevin King, Adrian Amos, and Darnell Savage Jr. must take advantage of Carolina's mistakes. If they can force a turnover or two, this game should end up a win.

2. Green Bay Is Coming Off Of An Embarrassing Loss

Following the Packers' loss to the Chargers, Rodgers made it clear that he thinks it could end up being good for the team. They had started buying into the hype that has been surrounding them and a wakeup call is something that every contender needs.

Coming into this week's game, the Packers are looking to make a statement. Green Bay will be looking to prove to the league that they are the Super Bowl contender that many have called them. The word “desperation” may not be 100 percent accurate, but they are going to bring a bit extra to this matchup.

1. Aaron Rodgers Isn't Going To Have Back-To-Back Bad Games

Finally, the Packers have one of the best quarterbacks of all-time on their side. He had a rough game against the Chargers, but he usually doesn't turn in back-to-back bad performances. Carolina may have a solid all-around defense, but Rodgers is going to put up numbers.

Add in the fact that the Packers have star wide receiver Davante Adams back and things look even better. If the running game gets going and forces the Panthers to focus on slowing it down, the passing game will open up. Rodgers is going to make some big-time passes and will put together another MVP-like performance.
