Green Bay Packers running back Aaron Jones was limited to just 12 games this past season due to a knee injury, but when he was on the field, he was very productive, rushing for 728 yards and eight touchdowns while averaging a league-best 5.5 yards per carry. In addition, he hauled in 26 receptions for 209 yards and a score.

Heading into 2019, Jones has a lofty goal: to be the top rusher in the NFL.

“I want to lead the league in rushing, I want to lead the league in yards per carry, I want to lead the league in touchdowns,” Jones said on The Rich Eisen Show on Wednesday.

When Eisen told Jones that his running style is similar to that of Cleveland Browns running back Kareem Hunt, Jones agreed and also likened himself to another halfback.

“I feel like I'm very similar to him, as well as (Saints running back Alvin) Kamara, I feel our games are a little bit the same,” he said. “We can stretch the field and catch the ball out of the backfield as well.”

Jones, who played his collegiate football at UTEP, was originally selected by the Packers in the fifth round (182nd pick overall) of the 2017 NFL Draft.

He played in 12 games during his rookie campaign, missing four contests due to a knee injury similar to the one he suffered this past season. During that time, Jones rushed for 448 yards and four scores while registering 5.5 yards per attempt.

Green Bay went just 6-9-1 this past season, marking the first time since 2006 that the Packers missed the playoffs in back-to-back years.
