After year's amongst college football's elite, the Florida State Seminoles took a huge step back this season. Fortunately, a primetime Seminoles' legacy could very well be on the way to help. Oh, hello there, Deion Sanders.
The Seminoles' 7-6 finish was barely enough to earn them a trip to the Independence Bowl against the Southern Miss Golden Eagles. During the broadcast of the game on ESPN, NFL Hall of Famer Deion Sanders indicated his potential interest in coaching at his alma mater.

Before Florida State fans go high-stepping their way to National Championship projections, the severity of his comments are yet to be determined. Aside from his brief tenure as the coach of a charter school he had founded some years back, Sanders has virtually no coaching experience at any level.
However, his pedigree as one of the greatest college and NFL players of all time certainly carries some weight. As many already know, Sanders burst onto the scene at Florida State as one of the most prolific players in school history en route to becoming a two-time All-American.
He was able to translate his success to the NFL as perhaps the greatest shutdown corner in NFL history. Needless to say, Sanders' presence would provide a huge spark for a program looking to get back on track.
