Johnny Manziel really wants to get back into the NFL. He added another step to his return journey recently with some revealing information about what he is willing to do and how much money he’d require.

It appears that he would be happy to just be on the scout team and would do it for free.

The NFL Network’s Mike Garafolo talked about Manziel recently and how he’d be fine with no guaranteed money:

“There have been conversations,” Garafolo told NFL Network. “… People around him believe it's a very real possibility that he could return to the NFL, whether before or after his appearance in the Spring League.”

He also noted that Manziel is open to proving he can play by any means necessary.

“[Manziel is] open to signing a practice-squad contract, staying on a team's practice squad and proving that he is in the right mindset during this entire season.”

Manziel added to the conversation Wednesday afternoon with a tweet of his own:

He can’t play for free, of course, but it just goes to show how that he only wants an opportunity.

While he did crash and burn in spectacular fashion, there will be a few teams thinking about him. What can it hurt? If he can't play or acts up, you cut him and tell the world why. He never steps on another football field again.

However, if he can play, he’d definitely be worth a league minimum contract for one year. That's assuming his claims about recovery are true.

He is due to practice and play in the upcoming Spring League. Should he do well, it would not be shocking to see someone throw him a bone.
