Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Tom Brady once led the New England Patriots to a Super Bowl appearance after edging Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs in the 2019 AFC Championship game. After the grueling contest, the two star quarterbacks shared a special moment with each other.
Brady recently spoke about the famous encounter he had with Mahomes, who won MVP that season and talked about how he loves interacting and getting to know the up-and-coming stars emerging in the league.

“He had an incredible year that year and (when I was) playing for the Patriots, [we] played them and had a great game against them and won the game. It’s a tough loss at the end of the year – I’ve been a part of those, too. Wasn’t much more than that.”
The Pats won that game in overtime 37-31, and Brady went on to win his sixth Super Bowl. Meanwhile, Mahomes bounced back the year after by claiming his first-ever championship.
The two superstars will meet again with the Bucs and Chiefs facing off this Sunday in what should be a highly-anticipated match-up between the 43-year-old vet and the reigning Super Bowl MVP.
Mahomes and Kansas City will enter with a 9-1 slate, while Brady and the Buccaneers come in with a 7-4 record.
