Kansas City Chiefs head coach Andy Reid has now taken the Chiefs farther in the playoffs than any other year he spent with the team since joining the Chiefs back in 2013. The cold weather of Kansas City is something that does not phase Reid especially not with a possibility Super Bowl appearance this close in sight.
According to Pro Football Talk's Mike Florio, Reid spoke to reporters about the cold weather that the Chiefs and New England Patriots will be playing in this upcoming Sunday.

Reid has reaped the benefits of sophomore sensation Patrick Mahomes, who may very well win the league's MVP award for his spectacular season. The quarterback position can be a tough transition from college to the professional level. That has not been the case for Mahomes as he passed for 50 touchdown passes and 5,097 yards. For a quarterback's first full season, that's incredible considering only Peyton Manning and Tom Brady have achieved the 50 touchdown mark in a regular season.
Reid knows Mahomes will have to play at as high of a level as ever before in the biggest game of his young career. The weather will only add to the list of things Mahomes has to game plan for this Sunday. Reid has all the confidence in the world in his quarterback.
“I think it’s just the focus you put on, whether you’re throwing the ball, carrying the ball, all of those things you just have to make sure you focus and take care of it,” Reid said. “Then you go. We’ve had enough practice, we continue to practice outside where it’s cold. It’s all part of it. You just have to adapt.”
