Kansas City Chiefs head coach Andy Reid says that defensive lineman Frank Clark will see a stomach specialist to address his illness, according to Adam Teicher of ESPN.com.

Clark reportedly lost 12 pounds and had to visit the hospital last week ahead of his team's win over the New England Patriots. He played in 46 percent Kansas City's defensive snaps during the game and made a significant impact, finishing with four tackles and a sack, but his stomach is still bothering him.

The Chiefs acquired Clark in a trade with the Seattle Seahawks back in April.

In the 11 games he has played this season, Clark has logged 32 tackles, six sacks, an interception, three forced fumbles and a fumble recovery.

The 26-year-old, who played his collegiate football at the University of Michigan, was originally selected by the Seahawks in the second round (63rd pick overall) of the 2015 NFL Draft.

He had a minimal role during his rookie campaign, tallying 16 tackles and three sacks, but the following year, Clark had a breakout season of sorts, totaling 47 tackles, 10 sacks, a couple of forced fumbles and a fumble recovery.

Clark continued his strong play in 2017, posting 32 tackles, nine sacks, a pair of forced fumbles and a fumble recovery before enjoying his best season in 2018, when he racked up 41 tackles, 13 sacks, an interception, three forced fumbles and two fumble recoveries.

Kansas City improved to 9-4 with its win over the Patriots and also clinched its fourth straight AFC West division title. The Chiefs will take on the Denver Broncos next Sunday.
