The Kansas City Chiefs were finally able to welcome back wide receiver Tyreek Hill to practice heading into Week 5. Quarterback Patrick Mahomes is confident he will be able to pick up where he left off.

Hill has spent the last several weeks recovering from a clavicle injury he suffered in the 2019 NFL season opener. Via Darin Gantt of Pro Football Talk, Mahomes does not think it will take him long to get re-acclimated:

“I don’t think it will take long at all,” Mahomes said, via the team’s official website. “We worked all offseason, in training camp and everything like that and having the guys that we have, we just rotate guys through and get guys reps. I think just having him out there and being able to just pick back up where we left off will be something that’s easy to do.”

Mahomes' optimism is certainly understandable. Even if Hill needs some time to reset his gears, having him back in the miz immediately adds another explosive dynamic to this offense. It is clear the Chiefs are hoping to take full advantage in Week 5 against the Indianapolis Colts.

Mahomes has made do with the receiving corps at his disposal in Hill's absence. Despite a modest outing in Week 4 by his standards, he has still solidified an early bid to defend his MVP status. Regardless, there is no question that having the speedster back will help him kick things up a notch.

Mahomes will now look to pile on his spectacular numbers now that the receiving corps is at full strength with Hill back.
