If there was anyone upset in the game between the Kansas City Chiefs and the Baltimore Ravens on Monday night, it would be Patrick Mahomes‘ mother, Randi. She is not at all pleased with the way ESPN’s Monday Night Football crew referred to her son.

The incident happened during the second quarter when Mahomes threw a 49-yard touchdown pass to wide receiver Mecole Hardman, to which analyst Louis Riddick uttered the word “Pat.”

“If this announcer doesn’t stop calling my son Pat.. ugh i may scream… lol #help,” she tweeted, while tagging both the @ESPN and @ESPNNFL accounts.

It turned out that his husband, Patrick Mahomes Sr., a former Major League Baseball player goes by the nickname “Pat,” while the son goes by his full name.

The Super Bowl LIV MVP Patrick Mahomes was nowhere near insulted during their highly-anticipated matchup against the Ravens. He shined once again and proved that he is still a force to be reckoned with. He led the way for the Chiefs with a total of 385 passing yards on 31-of-42 passes completed along with four scored touchdowns.

The reigning Super Bowl champions sat atop the AFC West division with an unblemished record of 3-0 while the Ravens were listed at the second spot of the AFC North behind the rolling Pittsburgh Steelers.

The Chiefs will challenge the New England Patriots at their home turf for Week 4 festivities. At the end of the day, it seems like all is well for Mahomes as long as his team continues to win their games as the season progresses.
