The Kansas City Chiefs fell short of what would have been back-to-back titles on Sunday as they bowed out to Tom Brady and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in Super Bowl 55. Kansas City's offense just wasn't good enough on the evening, and unsurprisingly, Chiefs superstar quarterback Patrick Mahomes was on the receiving end of some post-game criticism.
Mahomes has opened up about his team's lackluster performance on Sunday, and according to the 25-year-old, they're all going back to the drawing board after this gutting defeat:

When teams see the defensive plan that they had and how well that it worked, they’re going to try and do the same thing. [I’m going to] try to find ways to combat that and kind of the evolution of our offense. We’re going to have to do better things and be more efficient. That really goes with me and not always looking for the big play, but finding ways to move the ball down the field.”
Mahomes was a picture of disappointment after the loss. It could be said that he did his bit for the Chiefs on the evening, dishing out some insane passes for his teammates. Unfortunately, the cards just didn't fall in their favor.
It was the great Tom Brady that stole the show, with the Bucs QB emerging as the clear winner in the high-profile individual battle between himself and Mahomes. Brady is the GOAT, and after this loss, Mahomes will need to do a whole lot more in the coming years if he ever hopes to chase Tom's unbridled legacy.
