After the Kareem Hunt situation unfolded this week there were some questions about how players inside the locker room would react because he was considered a good team. Quarterback Patrick Mahomes made his feelings very clear after the game telling the media that the team doesn't do those things.

“I saw the stuff that happened,” Mahomes said after Sunday's 40-33 win over the Raiders via Adam Teicher of ESPN. “We don't do those things.”

A video surfaced earlier this week of Hunt pushing a woman to the ground and kicking her. The team released him a few hours later saying in part that Hunt had lied to the team about what exactly had happened that night.

Wide receiver Chris Conley, who is close with Hunt opened up a bit more about the situation and said the most important thing now is that Hunt gets the help he needs a person.

“Kareem being a friend of mine, I think the impact is just that — Kareem as a person,” wide receiver Chris Conley said. “I didn't think about football or how it would have an impact on this locker room or on our season at all. Because obviously, this is secondary. And life, life is first. You know, he has some things that he needs to learn. Some time that he needs to take. Reflection. I think he's going to do that. Hopefully he has those people around him in that circle who are going to help him through that.

Conley also said that he has reached out to Hunt trying to help him out as a friend and will do anything he can to help him get the help he needs.
