It did not take long for those in attendance at Soldier Field to realize that having current Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes under center for the hometown Chicago Bears would be a luxury — to say the least. With Mahomes often being compared to Bears quarterback Mitchell Trubisky when these two teams are in the same conversation, the Chiefs signal-caller and reigning league MVP wasted absolutely no time in solidifying this notion on Sunday evening.

Although ultimately finding the end zone by way of utilizing his ability to escape the pocket and run the football, Mahomes initially stole the show with a slick sidearm pass on Sunday Night Football against the Chicago Bears.

Thanks to both this nifty sidearm pass and Mahomes' rushing touchdown in the first quarter, as well as a made field goal by placekicker Harrison Butker, the Chiefs currently lead the Bears by the score of 10-0 with the first half still underway.
