The Kansas City Chiefs are set to take on the Las Vegas Raiders in a highly competitive Week 14 matchup. These are two talented teams that have disappointed during different stretches this season, but the Chiefs have started to figure it out as of late. The Raiders are coming off a brutal loss after an impressive win against the Dallas Cowboys two weeks ago. Although Las Vegas is only 6-6 on the season, they still have a chance to compete with this Chiefs team, so Kansas City will have to play its best football.
After a slow start, Kansas City has really turned it around. The Chiefs have won their last five games and have taken back control of first place in the AFC West by a game. A team with Patrick Mahomes and others was just too talented to struggle for a long period of time, and they are starting to click at the perfect time.

4. Patrick Mahomes really starts to figure himself out
Patrick Mahomes has not played badly this season, but he has not played to the capability that everybody knows he can. It might seem crazy because Mahomes still has 3,384 yards with 25 touchdowns, which are both top-five marks in the NFL. Any other quarterback would be praised for the season that Mahomes is having, but when he has the type of expectations that he does, nobody is impressed.
Against the Raiders, he's going to have his best game of the season with over 350 yards and four touchdowns. The old Patrick Mahomes is really going to show in Week 14 because he knows that this is a good team and they need a win so they can win the AFC West.
He's also not going to turn the ball over as his receivers are finally going to help him out and make catches that should have been caught but haven't in previous weeks, which have led to interceptions. He's not going to throw any interceptions on Sunday and is going to be totally dominant against the Raiders.
3. The defense continues playing at a high level
This was the major concern for the Chiefs during the beginning of the season. Their defense wasn't playing at a high enough level for them to get consistent stops, and that was causing them to lose games that they should have won. This has all changed in the past five weeks, as they have kept every team to under 20 points and gave up only nine points in back-to-back games against a tough Dallas Cowboys team and a decent Denver Broncos team.
Kansas City is going to continue defending at a high level against a high-powered Raiders team that does struggle at times. They have the potential to put up points at will, but they have also had some real clunkers. That's what's going to happen this week against the Chiefs.
If Kansas City can continue defending at a high level, this team is virtually unbeatable. Patrick Mahomes is too good for a team to only score 20 or fewer points against the Chiefs. In a playoff setting, there is no way Mahomes would score under 20 points.
2. The old Kansas City shows
There have been a couple of jokes between players that the old Chiefs are back, but at the end of the day, Kansas City knows there's still another level to reach when it comes to the potential of this roster. Whether that be because of some injuries, or just guys not playing to the best of their ability, the Chiefs have not played their best football yet this season.
It's remarkable to say that considering they are still 8-4 and have one of the best records in all of the NFL. But in this Week 14 matchup, Kansas City is going to truly look like a dominant Super Bowl contender.
1. Chiefs win by two or more touchdowns
This game isn't going to be close for the majority of it, and the Chiefs will win by two or more touchdowns. They have been in too many close games as of late and will make sure they come out dominant and keep that same energy up for the entirety of this football game.
The Chiefs realize that this is a must-win game for them, so expect them to come out ready and go take care of business against a good Raiders team.
