Minnesota Vikings wide receiver Adam Thielen accomplished something on Sunday that Jerry Rice, Randy Moss, Chris Carter and some of the other great receivers in the NFL never were able to do. He racked up 100 receiving yards in each of the first five games of the season.

Thielen had 110 receiving yards on Sunday against the Philadelphia Eagles, the fifth straight game he has gone over the 100-yard mark. On the season, he has 47 catches for 589 yards and three touchdowns.

Thielen said after the game that this was a team accomplishment and that getting the win was the most important thing to him. Vikings head coach Mike Zimmer was asked what makes his star wide receiver so special and he thinks it all has to do with his heart.

“I think his deal is all heart,” coach Mike Zimmer said via ESPN. “No. 1, he's got the biggest heart there is. No. 2, he's always talking about how he can get better. He comes up to me during the week and says, ‘I'm doing this and I just need to run, or I need to do this,' and I said, ‘I'll remind you,' and even the long one he caught he said, ‘Man, I'm faster than that. I should have scored on that.' That's the kind of guys he is. The onside kick went to him and I told him, ‘Catch it the first time next time, would ya?' He's a great competitor.”

This is quite the accomplishment for Thielen who played at a Divison Two Minnesota State and only got a chance after a rookie tryout.
