The Minnesota Vikings and head coach Mike Zimmer are coming off a thrilling 29-24 win in the divisional round over the New Orleans Saints.

However, the Vikings must immediately shift their focus entirely toward the NFC Championship game with a matchup against the Philadelphia Eagles. One of the questions that arose Monday is who will be the team's backup quarterback behind Case Keenum should he go down. According to Zimmer, he hasn't decided yet, per Chris Tomasson of St. Paul Pioneer Press.

The Vikings placed Sam Bradford back on the active roster ahead of the divisional round game on Sunday night. This immediately brought up questions about whether it meant that the team wasn't fully committed to having Keenum as the starting quarterback, or Teddy Bridgewater as the backup.

The 29-year-old's grasp on the starting job got much tighter after his solid outing against the Saints, completing 25-of-40 passes for 318 yards, one touchdown, and an interception. Of course, his performance was highlighted by a 61-yard game-winning touchdown pass to wide receiver Stefon Diggs, lifting Minnesota to their first NFL title game since the 2009 season.

Bradford finds himself in a battle for the backup spot with Teddy Bridgewater, who was inactive for the divisonal round game. Bridgewater made his return to the team late in the season while making one appearance in Week 15 against the Cincinnati Bengals, going 0-for-2 on both his pass attempts while rushing for negative three yards on three scrambles. Bradford was the Week 1 starter, but a knee injury kept him sidelined for the rest of the regular season.

Who backs up Keenum will hinge on how both quarterbacks look this week in practice leading up to the game. They should both have an opportunity to make their case to grab the backup job ahead of Sunday's NFC title bout.
