Remember when Jimmy Graham was a big deal with the New Orleans Saints? Apparently that organization does, as it is reportedly in some talks with the Seattle Seahawks to bring the talented tight tend back to the NFL franchise.

According to a report from SportsTalk360, the Seahawks are open to trading Graham, and the Saints have expressed an interest in bring the four-time Pro Bowl selection back to New Orleans. It is worth noting the post never claims any sources — a strange thing when claiming what it claimed.

Now, here is where it is worth noting that sometimes rumors should not be considered reports and the source of the information is relatively important.

This isn't Adam Schefter (ESPN), Ian Rapoport (NFL Network), and/or Chris Mortensen (ESPN) breaking the news. In fact, some of these guys have already come out to deny the merit of the report.

With the Saints randomly being a real contender in its division, but with the Seahawks still having aspirations to go deep in the playoffs, this trade would actually make little sense, even if Seattle has had a hard time figuring Jimmy Graham into the offense.

So, again, take the initial report with a grain of salt for now. Weirder things have happened in the National Football League than a talented tight end being traded from a good team to an only OK one.

All of that being said, if you were a betting man (in a state in which gambling was legal, of course), I would avoid putting large sums on money on the chances of this actually happening. After all, the refuting reports are coming out fast.
