The New York Jets may have shipped their star safety, Jamal Adams to the Seattle Seahawks, but apparently their goal remains the same. Jets general manager Joe Douglas has reaffirmed his commitment to winning. Douglas claimed that one trade won't change the direction that the front office has already set for the team.

“You’re gonna see a team that’s very hungry and has a lot of desire to prove that a 6-2 finish was not a fluke against ‘soft schedule,‘” Douglas said, via NJ.com. “You’re going to see a team that has a lot of fire and motivation. So I would disagree that we’re punting on 2020.”
the New York Jets looked to be in full tank mode for the 2020 NFL Draft midway through last season. But the lowly Jets team rallied to a strong finish, going 6-2 for their last eight games. The squad ended on a 7-9 note, trailing behind AFC East division leader New England Patriots and the Buffalo Bills.
The Jets are still in search of a player who will fill in the shoes of Adams who produced 61 solo tackles, 2 forced fumbles and an interception last season. That player may come by way of next year's rookie draft, as the team garnered a truckload of draft picks from the blockbuster trade.
Without their former two-time Pro Bowler, ending a 10-year playoff drought will be harder than it looks. However, Douglas and the Jets remain undaunted on getting the job done. The NY-based team will face the Buffalo Bills for the opening game on September 13 at New Era Field.
