The New York Jets suffered a scare with COVID-19 on Friday morning and it appears nothing will come of it. According to the team's official Twitter account, the Jets have confirmed they had a false-positive COVID-19 test and will play on Sunday versus the Arizona Cardinals.

Amid all of the news pertaining to other teams experiencing issues with COVID-19, it was reported that New York produced a ‘presumptive positive' test. As a result, the organization sent everyone home and canceled practice on Friday.
While the team remained away from the facility, they were working with the league to discover whether or not the test was legitimate. And after conducting an array of tests again, there weren't any positive tests to come about.
Of course, given the fact that people can begin to show symptoms of COVID-19 days after contracting it, the Jets will continue to monitor the situation. If the team were to have a positive test between now and Sunday, the NFL could be forced to alter the schedule even more.
In recent weeks, the Tennessee Titans, New England Patriots, Kansas City Chiefs, and the Las Vegas Raiders have had players test positive. Furthermore, the Titans alone have had 23 players and staff members test positive, preventing them from practicing since the Monday after Week 3.
The league has had their hands full with trying to decipher the best ways to deal with the recent cases of COVID-19. At the least, while they aren't in the clear yet, the Jets seem to have avoided having a positive test heading into Week 5.
