Zach Wilson impressed in the battle of the 2021 top picks in Week 16, leading the New York Jets to a 26-21 win over Trevor Lawrence and the Jacksonville Jaguars.

Wilson was all over the field in the contest, using his legs to spark the Jets' offense. Aside from his one touchdown in the game, he also rushed for one–and it's not the typical running game QBs usually do when they are in the red zone.

In the first quarter of the game, Wilson scored the New York's first touchdown with a 52-yard run. After he escaped the Jaguars' defense, he turned on his jet thrusters that would make Michael Vick proud.

Sure enough, his impressive run led fans and his left tackle Mekhi Becton to give him the nickname “Zach Vick.”

After hearing the new nickname, Zach Wilson stay humbled as he noted that he might not be as fast as Michael Vick. However, if he keeps making plays with his legs, the new nickname might just stick around.

“I don't think I'm fast enough to be Vick,” Wilson said, per DJ Bien-Aime of New York Daily News.

With the Jets missing a slew of players and even head coach Robert Saleh due to COVID-19, Wilson stepped up and delivered them a rather inspiring win. It is only their fourth win of the season and they're out of playoff contention, but what Wilson showed will surely raise hopes up of a bright future for the franchise.
