Matt LaFleur was one of the more intriguing coaching candidates in the NFL heading into the offseason and he landed what many believe was the most prestigious job open. After doing quite a few interviews with different candidates, the Green Bay Packers hired LaFleur to be their new head coach.

The pressure is on for the 39-year-old first-time head coach. Not only is Green Bay accustomed to winning, they are also entrusting the final stage of Aaron Rodgers' prime to LaFleur. That isn't something to take lightly.

While some are questioning the move to hire LaFleur, at least one former Green Bay superstar absolutely loves it. Former star safety LeRoy Butler took to his Twitter account to share his thoughts about the hire.

Butler has been very vocal about his displeasure with the Packers during the 2018 season. He did not like the way the team was playing and he has had critical things to say. Hearing him get excited about a new head coach was certainly good news for the Packers.

LaFleur is going to bring a much different offensive approach than Mike McCarthy had. He has a history with Los Angeles Rams head coach Sean McVay and San Francisco 49ers head coach Kyle Shanahan. Green Bay wanted to bring in a young head coach with an intriguing offense and that is exactly what they did.

Hopefully, Rodgers and LaFleur can get on the same page and work together. If they can, the Packers could find themselves back in the playoffs quickly.

Expect to see LaFleur come in and change some things up immediately. Rodgers is going to have more say and he is going to have more freedom in a much faster paced and high-powered offense.
