The Green Bay Packers underwent some major changes on offense this offseason. As a result, it seems they tried to alleviate the damage through the 2018 NFL Draft.
The Packers took three wide receivers in the later rounds of the draft. According to Mike Spofford of the team’s website, head coach Mike McCarthy felt it was important to add some size to the receiving corps:

Green Bay's emphasis on receivers should have been expected. They parted ways with longtime No. 1 wideout Jordy Nelson this offseason. Needless to say, his departure leaves a huge void that McCarthy is hoping one of his massive new receivers can fill.
The Packers added Missouri's J'Mon Moore, South Florida's Marquez Valdez-Scantling, and Notre Dame's Equanimeous St. Brown through the draft. To McCarthy's delight, each player stands at 6-foot-3 or taller, which is much larger than the two current leading receivers on the roster in Davante Adams and Randall Cobb. However, they do fit a mold that is similar to Nelson's.
That said, there is still no replacing the rapport quarterback Aaron Rodgers had with his longtime primary wideout. Although he may have been upset with Nelson's departure, there is no denying that Green Bay is in dire need of more playmakers around him. McCarthy is hoping at least one of the trio of rookies can step up as a big target for the star gunslinger.
