New England Patriots tight end Rob Gronkowski has reached the end zone just once halfway through the season, but it's probably wise not to keep asking him about it.

When asked during Wednesday’s press conference about his lack of touchdowns, Gronk confessed that he’s not really sure what’s at the bottom of his current touchdown drought.

“I’m not really sure. Yeah. Everything. Everything you said. I don’t know what to say,” Gronkowski said.

That question ended up being just one of very few that ended up being asked as Gronkowski walk off the podium after just over three minutes. While Gronkowski had a smile on his face throughout the presser, it seems as if his lack of touchdowns — and the constant questions about them — are taking their toll and causing a bit more frustration than he’s letting on.

Much like Gronk, it’s tough for anyone to pinpoint exactly what the real reason for his lack of touchdowns is. He has been banged up for most of the season with ankle and back injuries, but he’s been able to overcome those in previous years.

It goes without saying that the Patriots would love to get Gronkowski going again as soon as possible. When he's at his best, the Patriots are that much more dangerous and difficult to beat. But as long as they keep winning games, Gronk’s unusually low production shouldn’t be that significant an issue.
