Philadelphia Eagles head coach Doug Pederson expects wide receiver DeSean Jackson to return to practice this week, according to Mike Garafolo of NFL Network.
His status for the Eagles' Week 9 matchup with the Chicago Bears is not yet known.
Jackson has been sidelined since Week 3 with a groin injury. He initially suffered the injury early in his team's Week 2 loss to the Atlanta Falcons and exited that game without making a catch.
The 32-year-old had a terrific season opener, logging eight catches for 154 yards and a couple of touchdowns in a win over the Washington Redskins.
Jackson is now in his second stint with Philadelphia.
He was originally drafted by the club back in 2008 and spent the first six seasons of his career in Philly, making three Pro Bowl appearances. His best year came in 2013, when he hauled in 82 receptions for 1,332 yards and nine touchdowns.
