The Philadelphia Eagles' ailing passing game could really use some help, and now, it looks like they could get a key player back soon.
Head coach Doug Pederson says that wide receiver DeSean Jackson, who has been sidelined for the past five games, is making progress and should be able to return to the field in the coming weeks:
“He’s another one that’s getting close,” Pederson told reporters, per Mike Florio of Pro Football Talk. “Obviously, he’s been running and progressing. We’ll see where he’s at today with his rehab. Hopefully, we can get him maybe on the grass next week and see, but again, as we mentioned before, I don’t want to rush him back.”
Jackson is dealing with a small tear in his groin, an injury he suffered during the Eagles' Week 2 loss to the Atlanta Falcons. It was initially thought that he would only be shelved for two weeks, but the issue has kept him out for much longer than that.

In the Eagles' season opener, Jackson was sensational, logging eight catches for 154 yards and a couple of touchdowns in a comeback win over the Washington Redskins.
He then left the Falcons' game early the following week before even tallying a single catch.
Philadelphia now 3-4 on the season and is in desperate need of a win against the Buffalo Bills on Sunday.
