Philadelphia Eagles wide receiver only played half a season with the team after being traded midseason from the Detroit Lions, but he hopes that he will be able to return to the team next year. Golden Tate will be a free agent but has really enjoyed his time in Philadelphia and thinks that it is a place he would like to be.

“My time is limited. I want to go to a team that has a chance,” Tate said (via Geoff Mosher of Inside the Birds Podcast). “If I don't stay here of course, I would love to stay here. My years are limited. I don't have time to go somewhere that wants to rebuild. I need to go somewhere where they believe they can win now. That's what I want to do, but who knows. Something I have to think about.”

Tate said when he signed with the Detroit Lions he was just looking at the offer that paid him the most money, but this free agency he would like to be with a contender, even if it means not taking the most money.

In eight games with the Eagles, he had 30 catches for 278 yards and a touchdown. Although the stats aren't eye-popping, he had a few key catches and he was also trying to learn a new system.

Even if Tate wants to be back, it could be hard for the Eagles to sign him. Alshon Jeffery is already making over $14 million and Nelson Agholor is making over $9 million so paying a third receiver big money might be out of the question.
