The Philadelphia Eagles are just a few years removed from serving as the league's Super Bowl Champions, which had the “City of Brotherly Love” obviously going crazy for their favorite NFL franchise. With the Philadelphia 76ers of the NBA and Philadelphia Phillies of Major League Baseball currently on the upswing as well, the City of Philadelphia has been revived as one of the best sports towns in the country.
As a result, it should come as absolutely no surprise that a recent study from Emory University cites the Eagles' fan base as the third-best in the entire NFL. Philadelphia, though, finished two spots behind the first-place Dallas Cowboys, who finished atop the same study.

Sports. “Right behind them: the Patriots, Eagles, Giants and Steelers. Down at the bottom of the list: the Bengals, the Jaguars, the Titans, the Chiefs (hang on, Chiefs fans, you’ll get your chance) and the Rams.”
It is also worth noting that the annual study is based on three different categories. Emory University uses “Fan Equity, Social Equity and Road Equity” in order to determine the best fan base in the NFL each year. While the Eagles beat out both the New York Giants and Washington Redskins this time around, it will take another try next year to surpass the aforementioned Cowboys, unfortunately.
